PJSC Magnit has launched a loyalty program all over Russia, the retailer informed.
At the end of the year, all Magnit retail outlets of all formats (corner stores, supermarkets, drogerie stores and pharmacies) in 65 regions of Russia will be involved in the loyalty program. The pilot project of the program in three regions has been recognized as successful.
The loyalty program piloted in Yaroslavl, Kostroma and Chelyabinsk regions from April to July covered approximately 900 retail outlets. Magnit issued 1.5 million loyalty cards in four months, which is more than 1.5 times above the target level.
PJSC Magnit (tax number: 2309085638) is the Krasnodar-based holding company for a group of entities engaged in the retail trade through the same-name retail chain.
IFRS net profit of PJSC Magnit for Q1 2019 decreased by 52.2% to RUB 3.543 billion from RUB 7.409 billion a year earlier. Revenue grew by 10.1% to RUB 318.984 billion from RUB 289.69 billion, EBITDA totaled RUB 19.143 billion against RUB 20.48 billion (-6.5%).
The company opened 875 stores net (482 corner stores, 393 drogerie stores) against 277 stores (158 corner stores, 1 supermarket and 118 drogerie stores) a year earlier. The higher number of stores opened year-on-year results from a change in the schedule of openings in the course of the year. The total number of stores reached 19,223 outlets at the end of Q1 2019. In January-March 2019, the company redesigned 518 corner stores and 182 drogerie stores (against 150 corner stores and 10 drogerie stores a year earlier).
